Only micro algae for dinner? Challenge accepted and this was our starter. A blue virgin colada drink.
Since I am usually hungry when I am preparing dinner this rich blue smoothie was a great start, otherwise it is also suitable as a powerful after work out smoothie or great as a cool downer for a sunny afternoon. The stunning shade of blue in the mermaid colada derives from the phycocyanin. It is a pigment isolated from cyanobacteria (a type of blue-green algae) Spirulina and is a very strong antioxidant. It is valued for its therapeutic potential in being anti-inflammatory, having anticancer properties and is protecting important organs like our liver and kidneys in particular. Go magic blue. Cheers!

Kitchen starter drink: Blue mermaid virgin colada
Main dish: Green and white mashed potatoes covered in savory crunchy chlorella and bell-pepper chickpeas. Here is the whole recipe.

Preparation:
1) Pour the coconut milk in a blender
2) Add the Einhorn Zauber (calcium algae and phycocyanin mix) Magic Blue (pure pycocyanin), the cinnamon and some yacón sirup and mix till it has an intense color and creamy texture.
3) Enjoy your virgin colada mermaid drink.
