The Seaweed Adventure. On the search for seaweed know-how around Europe and green family solutions.
The Seaweed Adventure team consists of the Kreis family (that is Julie, her husband Fabian and their two small children) and co-founder Keith Chamarette from England. The family will be traveling through Europe in a the Seaweed Adventure van for six months (or longer?) and will visit seaweed experts, algae farms around Europe and have other theme related stops arranged along the way.

On Wednesday 30th of June 2021 the Seaweed Adventure van left Linden (Gießen, Germany) and went to Julie’s father home in Luhden (Schaumburg, Germany) and officially met their brand partner my PureWater in Bad Eilsen. They offered the family a handy solution to take active water on the journey.
Especially when traveling it is never clear where and how to get your water. With the Whirlator from my PureWater the family has found an easy and natural way to enjoy water in fresh spring quality. Complex and heavy filter systems, as well as silver ions nor chemicals, are needed. A blog post, further details and an interview on the topic will be available soon.

As described above: we are trying to put our vision to reality and want to show what health, taste and sustainability advantages go along with the seaweed kitchen. This is why we work together with brands and partners, who woke up and live!
Our official algae start of this first “European Seaweed Adventure” will take place in Klötze (Germany) on Monday 5th of July 2021. Here the raw food company PureRaw owned my Kirstin Knufmann and Chlorella farm Roquette Klötze with the brand Algomed are located. Jörg Ullmann from Algomed offered to be the official sparring partner of this journey and we are very happy and proud to be working together.
From there we will move North to Denmark and Norway. In Denmark we first met Thorkil Degn Johansson aka Tang Thorkil and founder of the Facebook seaweed group: Seaweed Lovers Planet. Further meetings with brand partners will take place in Denmark: Niels from Organic Nature and his extraordinary and organic raw bars, as well as with Kristian from Nordisk Tang with his great seaweed products like seasonings, almonds and pestos to name just a few.
From autumn a route to England, Ireland via the Netherlands is planned, where the family will meet their English co-founder Keith personally for the first time (after numerous Zoom meetings). The dutch brand Seamorefood contributed lots of seaweed snacks to this journey and we are happy to create some easy family recipes with those.

Moreover, we are happy to have the internet platform for a wide range of selected quality seaweed snacks and types on board: Micha from Algenladen and German Spirulina from Frank, Akal Food. Especially the drink Spirtonic from Akal food will keep us energized and boosted along this road trip. All those parters and well as their products will be introduced as we continue this journey and we will give you great recipe inspiration and health facts.
